Ladies crowned County Cup champions

12 April 2019

Cheltenham Town Ladies lifted the Gloucestershire Women's Trophy on Thursday night following victory over Frampton Rangers Ladies at the Gloucestershire FA's headquarters at Almondsbury.

A resounding 10-0 victory for Alex Cheal's side saw them claim the winning trophy for the second time in three years as they overcame a Frampton Rangers side who operate two divisions below the Ladies.

Top goal scorer Annie Martin was in among the goals once again as she claimed four on the night, while Becky Wilkins also struck a hat-trick.

Georgia Brown netted twice too while Ella Hitchcox's early goal set them on the way to victory.

Next up for the Ladies is a difficult home outing in the FA Women's National League Division One South West on Sunday when they host Keynsham Town Ladies.

Kick-off at the DN Fire Stadium, home of Cheltenham Saracens, is at 2pm.
