Ladies: County Cup final this Thursday

9 April 2019

Cheltenham Town Ladies go in search of silverware this Thursday when they contest the Gloucestershire Women's Trophy final (kick-off: 7.30pm).

The Ladies take on South West Women's Football League Eastern Division outfit Frampton Rangers at the Gloucestershire FA's headquarters at Almondsbury.

A 4-2 away win over Almondsbury Women in the semi-final has handed the Robins the opportunity to go head-to-head with Thursday's opposition, who are currently second in their division - one place above the Ladies Development side.

Alex Cheal's charges head into Thursday's game in good form after a third consecutive win on the weekend.

An Annie Martin hat-trick and a first half goal from Abby Bevan saw the Ladies travel to Chesham United and win 4-0 - in what was the third of consecutive away trips in the FA Women's National League South West Division One.

Last season they finished runners up in the competition, which they last won in 2017, and will be hoping to do enough this Thursday to add the winners trophy to their cabinet once again.
