Community Trust members and Robins fans to complete Three Peaks Challenge

24 April 2019

Members of the Cheltenham Town Community Trust and Robins supporters will be completing the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours to raise money for local charity Winston's Wish.

The group of nine will climb the three highest mountains in the United Kingdom based in three different countries; Scotland, Wales and England all within 24 hours on Friday.

The mountains that the group will scale include Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

Those climbing include Community Trust manager Olly Roberts and eight Cheltenham Town supporters in Paul Day, Jonathan Day, Marcus Ashmead, Peter Smith, Tyrone King, Jody Hogg, James Morgan and Michael Roddy.

The idea of taking on the challenge was that of Paul Day's, whose favourite ever Cheltenham player is Kaid Mohamed, and he said: "Winston's Wish is a local charity to us that supports children and young people after the death of a parent or sibling."

"As Dads we want to support a cause that will help families just as we would want our own families to be supported if we ever experienced a similar loss."
