Cheltenham Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Spa Security will be sponsoring the Former Players Association for the next two years.
Spa Security, a Gloucestershire-based security company, have vast experience in coordinating events and will be able to assist the Former Players Association with a variety of joint initiatives.
Simon Goodwin, Chairman of the FPA, said: “I’m absolutely delighted. It was really important to get a sponsor on board and more importantly someone who would buy into the initiatives we are trying to achieve”.
“The FPA has snowballed since we started and there has been a lot of interest from former players. When we first announced the FPA we had about 40 players on board and now we have about 80. We’ve had quite a few players already come along to some of the matches and they are all enjoying what we’re doing”.
Steve Meredith, Managing Director of Spa Security, said: “I know a few of the former players and when I mentioned the FPA to them they said that it would be a good project to get involved in and move forward with”.
Goodwin added: “Spa Security will assist us in raising the profile of the FPA and Steve’s experience in putting on events will certainly help so it’s a very positive step”.
