Yeovil match postponed

2 October 2018

Cheltenham Town's home match against Yeovil Town later this month has been postponed due to international call-ups.

Visitors Yeovil have three players selected for international squads and under EFL rules they are allowed to apply for a postponement, which has now been granted.

The match will now be re-arranged for a date later in the season. Any tickets already purchased for the match will remain valid for the new date once it has been determined.

Postponements for international call-ups are rare in League Two but not unknown. Cheltenham Town have only postponed a match in such circumstances on one previous occasion. That was in March 2003 when a home match against Luton Town was called off due to Michael Duff, his brother Shane and Grant McCann being called up for international duty.

Michael Duff and Grant McCann travelled to Armenia with the Northern Ireland squad while Shane was named in the Under-21 group for the same trip.

Tonight's match against Morecambe will therefore be the Robins' last home match until 27 October when Stevenage will be the visitors to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
