In focus: Robins v Stevenage

24 October 2018

Cheltenham Town play the first of three consecutive home matches in all competitions when they face Stevenage at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium this Saturday (October 27, 3pm kick-off).

The Robins continue their busy two-week schedule with an important Sky Bet League Two clash against Dino Maamria’s men, following back to back away matches.

Michael Duff’s side dropped into the relegation zone after Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at Oldham, as they chase a first victory in seven matches back on home turf this weekend.

Saturday’s opponents Stevenage travel to Gloucestershire without a win in four matches across all competitions and have failed to score in consecutive home matches – their latest being a 0-0 draw with Port Vale on Tuesday.

Boro sit 10th in the division with 22 points from 15 matches and are 13 places above the Robins in the table.

Team news

Duff may welcome back derby day scorer Tyrone Barnett to the starting line-up after he wasn’t fit enough to play from the off in Oldham, coming off the bench with 25 minutes to go.

Fellow striker Sam Jones will not be available after picking up a red card and subsequent suspension at Boundary Park. Sean Long and Aden Baldwin are still out due to injury.

The manager will host his weekly press conference in the morning and we'll be there to cover all the latest developments as we build towards this weekend's match. Keep an eye on ctfc.com for the interviews tomorrow.
