Community: Robins visit the Albert Dix Football Tournament

23 October 2018

The Cheltenham Town Community Trust attended the annual Albert Dix football tournament last Friday, with many of the teams wearing brand new Premier League Primary Stars kits as a result of their involvement with the Community Trust.

Premier League Primary Stars Coordinator Ryan Godwin said: “We were delighted to attend the Albert Dix Football Tournament last Friday where we had six community coaches helping referee every game".

“There were over ten schools involved and we saw well over 200 children all enjoying themselves".

“We were lucky enough to see Rowanfield, Holy Trinity and St Mark's Primary School in their new kit, which they won through the Cheltenham Town Community Trust and Premier League Primary Stars programme".

“Each child we saw received tickets for our upcoming game against Newport County on the 3rd of November and we hope to see as many of them there as possible.”

The Community Trust gave each participant tickets for the game against the Exiles as part of the initiative to get 5,000 children through the gates at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
