Conor Thomas praised the spirit and work rate of his Cheltenham Town teammates performance following Saturday's Sky Bet League Two win over Newport County AFC.
The midfielder was a part of a Robins side that made it back-to-back league victories and seven unbeaten in all competitions at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
Goals from Will Boyle and Tyrone Barnett secured the points and Thomas was very positive about the overall performance.
"I think the lads showed great spirit for 60 minutes when we played well and we've shown we can do the other side as well," he said after the game.
"I think we've done that over the last few weeks. We've played well in spells but we've had to fight in spells and thankfully we got the win today which was the most important thing.
"We could have maybe nicked a third goal and put the game to bed, but we didn't. The most important thing was to get the three points. We're not getting ahead of ourselves so we've got a lot of work to do but it's one game ticked off anyway".
