Ben Tozer lines up for Cheltenham on Saturday against his former club as a key component in a Robins side that are enjoying their best run of form this season.
The former Northampton Town man has played an integral part in the middle of a central defensive three since Michael Duff’s side switched to a 3-5-2 formation a couple of weeks ago.
This weekend he’ll be aiming to get one over the club he left to move to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in the summer, and he feels his team’s recent good form adds to the Robins chances.
Speaking to the press at Thursday morning’s press conference he said: “We’ve done well the last five or six games, so we go in with a bit of confidence which stands us in good stead.
“Everything has come together. The gaffer has managed to bed himself in a bit more now so it’s not like he’s been here two or three weeks – his philosophies are starting to come into play.
“I’ve always had belief in myself to come in and do what I know I can do. It has taken however long to prove that and thankfully it has paid off.”
