Preview: Duff on Bury trip

26 November 2018

Cheltenham boss Michael Duff is fully aware of the challenge that awaits his side on Tuesday evening when the Robins make the trip north to Bury.

Despite leading his team to a seventh unbeaten game and a second consecutive Sky Bet League Two win on Saturday against Newport County, Duff eyes up the club’s next opponents as a leading light in the division and expects a tough outing on the road.

Duff spoke to the press on Monday morning ahead of Tuesday’s fixture and has outlined the test posed by Bury at the Energy Check Stadium.

“I think Bury are the best team in the league personally,” he said. “I know they are not in first position and I’ve said before I believe Lincoln will win the league and I still believe Lincoln will win the league, but they’ve got some good players Bury and they’ve probably drawn too many games.

“We’re going up there knowing they are a very good team and we are going to have to be right on it if we are to get anything out of the game.”
