FA Youth Cup: Under-18s host Gillingham tonight

14 November 2018

It’s FA Youth Cup second round action at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium this evening as Cheltenham Town’s under-18s host their Gillingham counterparts (7pm kick-off).

The under-18s will be looking to clinch a place in the third round and a potential trip to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers with victory in a tough encounter with the Gills.

The Robins youngsters have already overcome Forest Green Rovers in this year’s competition to get to the second-round stage.

An Aaron Basford double and another strike from Will Dawes helped secure a 3-1 win to set up this evening’s encounter.

Gillingham’s under-18s currently sit 6th in the EFL Youth Alliance South East Division, while Cheltenham are 5th in the South West Division, so it’s all set up for a tasty contest, 24 hours after the first team squad secured a place in the final round of 32 of the Checkatrade Trophy.

Admission prices for tonight are £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Academy players who are accompanied by a full paying adult will be able to watch the match for free.

The Autovillage Stand, Paddock and an area of the Hazelwoods Stand will be open for those attending this evening.

The ticket office at the stadium will also be open between 5pm and 7pm for fans who wish to purchase tickets and travel for upcoming first team fixtures.
