Reaction: Duff upbeat despite a frustrating afternoon in Kent

10 November 2018

Boss Michael Duff wasn't happy with his side's first half performance but still found some positives in this afternoon's 0-0 draw at Ebbsfleet United.

"I thought it was a 0-0 game. Neither goalkeeper had a save to make so I thought it was a fair result," he told the press after the FA Cup first round match at the Kuflink Stadium.

"We weren't good enough in the first half. We didn't compete. We didn't pass the ball. If we were playing against a better team we would have probably been losing the game at the break.

"We were slightly better in the second half but we lacked the quality in front of goal. Yes, it was improved but we didn't really hurt them but they didn't hurt us either."

"There were some positives in the perfomance and I'd like to think we will be better in the replay (on 10 November, 7.45pm). We're unbeaten in three but we know we need to be better than that."
