Manager Gary Johnson has spoken about his delight that experienced defender Johnny Mullins will join the Robins – describing his signing as a real coup for the club.
Mullins will move to the LCI Rail Stadium on a two-year deal from Luton Town.
The 32-year-old has enjoyed an impressive career and has won promotion three times from Sky Bet League Two.
And Johnson believes that winning mentality and leadership – with Mullins having captained Luton on several occasions - will be crucial.
He said: “Signing Johnny Mullins is a real coup for us and a statement about our intentions. He is a leader and winner, having won three promotions from this division.
“He played a big role in Luton Town’s push for automatic promotion this season and is a talented centre back with good leadership qualities and the experience that goes with it.
“We are absolutely delighted to have made Johnny one of our early signings ahead of next season.”
