Midfielder Joe Morrell and defender Joe Rodon have today (Thursday) both been named in an 18-man squad as Wales Under-21s prepare for a European Championship qualifying against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Morrell, on loan at the Robins from Bristol City, and Rodon, on loan from Premier League giants Swansea, will fly to Bosnia next week for a qualifier on Friday (March 23).
The call-up will mean both players miss the Sky Bet League Two fixture at Crawley Town next weekend.
Manager Gary Johnson said: “We’re obviously delighted for the two Joes – Morrell and Rodon – for winning Wales call-ups for the 2019 European Championship qualifier with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
“Unfortunately, it will mean we lose them for the Crawley Town fixture because they will train with Wales and then play away next Friday so we cannot get back in time for the game.
“However, it will be a fantastic experience for them both and is reward for the manner they have played for us in recent months. We wish them both success and a safe trip.”
