Arg goes back to school to promote charity match

7 March 2018

TOWIE star James Argent visited the home of the Robins and two local schools this week as the countdown to the big celebrity charity match at Cheltenham Town gathers pace!

The match – organised by Sellebrity Soccer – will be a fun-filled occasion for all the family as two teams of celebrities and Cheltenham Town legends take to the pitch on Sunday, March 25.

Top television personality ‘Arg’ – famous for his appearances on The Only Way is Essex alongside hit TV shows Sugar Free Farm and The Jump – recently confirmed he would be lining up in the game to help raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance and British Heart Foundation.

And this week he popped into Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form Centre and Winchcombe School to meet students and talk about why he was supporting the big game.

Arg will join the likes of Shayne Ward, Max Branning, Dean Gaffney and Jamie Borthwick and reality TV stars Calum Best, Jamie O’Hara and Chris Hughes in playing in the match.

Kerry Katona and Katie Price will manage the two teams and pop stars Simon Webbe and Lee Latchford Evans – who will return for the Steps and Blue concert in May - are also set to be in action.

Cheltenham Town legends Steve Book, Mike Duff, John Finnigan, Grant McCann and Neil Grayson are also playing.

The match is being held in conjunction with the Lewis family. Karen and Richard’s son Ben was injured in an accident on the M5 in Gloucestershire. They have been working with the club to organise the game to raise funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Money raised will also go to the British Heart Foundation – one of Cheltenham Town’s official charities for this season.
