NEW SIGNING: Immanuelson Duku

26 July 2018

Cheltenham Town have completed the signing of exciting Dutch striker Immanuelson ‘Manny’ Duku on a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old joins the Robins from Hayes & Yeading United and could make his home debut in the pre-season fixture with Walsall at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Saturday.

The 25-year-old Dutch striker weighed in with a club record 39 goals last season, 33 in the league, as United finished third in Evo-Stik Southern East last term.

Duku was born and played his early football in Holland, with spells at VV Eemdijk and FC Breukelen, until moving to the UK for the start of season 2015/16.

The forward spent time with Chesham United before moving to Kings Langley, establishing himself as a regular in the side that won promotion to the Southern Premier.

Manager Gary Johnson said: "We’re delighted to bring Manny to the Robins. He’s a great lad who scored a lot of goals last season and who is determined to take this chance.

“He’s 25-years-old so he’s not a young lad finding his way. He had a terrific season last year and we feel he’s ready to come into the Football League.

“Manny has only been over here for three years from Holland, but his English is excellent, he is very humble and very athletic. A goalscorer is a goalscorer as Mo Eisa proved last season.”
