Community: Downes visits Force Control Room

9 July 2018

Aaron Downes made his name policing the back line and laying down the law – but he got to see how Gloucestershire Constabulary works during a recent visit.

This season the Robins are looking to do more community visits than ever before and it all kicked off with Downes – first team coach and Head of Academy Coaching – visiting the Force Control Room with his family.

Gloucestershire Constabulary Force Control Room are currently running community visits, where they are open the doors to the public to allow an insight into their work. These visits include presentations and guided tours.

Downes visited last week and said: “It was great to see how Gloucestershire Constabularies Force Control Room work and how they deal with incidents right across our county. They do a wonderful job to help protect us and it was fantastic to have an insight into that work.

“This season we are determined as a club – both coaches and players - to get out into the community as much as possible to support local people and all the work that is going on and this visit is the start of that work."
