Cheltenham Town are delighted to announce an exciting new sponsorship agreement for the upcoming season – that will bring fans even closer to the action!
The Robins have teamed up with Elite Sport Goalkeeping who are sponsoring a new Goal Cam initiative for the 2018/19 season.
Goal Cam will be filmed at every home league game at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium to give supporters exclusive highlights and a different angle to re-watch all the match action – from wonder goals to brilliant saves.
James Stone, Media and Marketing Executive at Cheltenham Town, said: "It's great to be able to give supporters greater content to watch on our social media channels and it's fantastic to see an innovative company like Elite Sport Goalkeeping wanting to support the club in providing this.”
Nigel Morecroft, who has been coaching at Cheltenham Town for the past four seasons, said: "For the last three seasons I've been Assistant Academy Goalkeeper coach at the club, coaching both YDP and Foundation phase keepers. I’m also a lifelong supporter so it is brilliant to continue my long standing relationship with Cheltenham Town”.
“As well as coaching the youth teams at the club, I've been privately coaching for the last seven seasons, where I set up a goalkeeper school at Churchdown Panthers before joining forces with a local goalkeeping school 18 months ago”.
“My plan now is to develop Goalkeeper Development Centres throughout the Southwest under the name of Elite Sport Goalkeeping (UK). The Cheltenham and Gloucester Development Centre is already up and running and has been a great success.
“I've just been given the UK distribution rights for Elite Sport Goalkeeping which is the fastest growing Goalkeeper Glove brand across the globe. They are hugely popular in the Americas and Europe where one in three Russian league keepers are now wearing the gloves, in addition to top international keepers wearing them, including Dutch and Turkish internationals.
“My idea is to develop the brand in the United Kingdom and bring both the gloves and coaching together under one banner, which is a unique concept within the Elite Sport Goalkeeping Family.”
The Goal Cam will be available on social media after each home game, with extended highlights available to watch on IFollow.
