Cheltenham Town Football Club is keen to point out to all supporters that anti-social behaviour around matches is unacceptable.
In recent weeks there have been one or two incidents of behaviour by Cheltenham Town supporters that have fallen below the standards that have been set in recent years and the club will be working closely with the police to establish the identities of those involved.
Supporters are reminded that both the ground and the immediate vicinity are covered by CCTV cameras that can film and record anything that may cause concern. There are also a number of specific football-related offences which can result in a criminal conviction. These include running or throwing objects onto the pitch, obscene or racist chanting, bringing pyrotechnic devices into a football ground or attempting to enter a ground while intoxicated.
We urge all Cheltenham Town supporters to follow the club in a passionate but positive manner and to respect supporters and players of other teams. Our supporters have earned a very good reputation over recent years which we are very keen to maintain. Football is for everyone in the community to enjoy and Cheltenham Town Football Club will continue to do all it can to ensure that it stays that way.
