Pell: We are working to cut out mistakes

15 February 2018

Midfielder Harry Pell is determined to help Cheltenham Town cut out the mistakes that are hurting them in the closing months of the season.

Pell will hope to line-up for the Robins when they tackle Wycombe Wanderers at the LCI Rail Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

And he is eager for the team to produce a positive result as they start a run of fixtures against teams battling out at the summit of Sky Bet League Two.

“It’s been a frustrating season because apart from a few games we have been in every game,” said Pell.

“We have chucked points away through naivety. You can see where we have dropped points and when we should have earned them.

“It’s frustrating as a group, as I am sure everyone is, but all we can do is look forward and get as many points on the board as possible.

“We’ve got a young team and players will learn. But experienced players make mistakes too and last week I had a howler for the penalty. We have got cut out the mistakes that are costing us.

“Saturday is another opportunity to get three points on the board, but we know it’s going to be difficult as they are in form and a strong team.

“They have a lot of experience in the team so we are up against it, but we need to be ready to fight.

“I played with Scotty Brown and Adebayo Akinfenwa and they are two great guys. But we will go in to win the three points.”
