Community: Pell & Downes visit half-term camp

15 February 2018

Harry Pell and Aaron Downes were special guests on Thursday at a February half-term football camp run by the Cheltenham Town Community Trust.

The duo visited young footballers at Lakeside Primary School for a question and answer session and sign copies of The Robin matchday programme for youngsters.

The February half-term camp has been running all week with boys and girls taking part in fun football sessions run by staff from the trust.

Just under 150 children, aged between five and 12-years-old, have been on this latest camp that ran for four days.

Ryan Godwin, Programme Co-ordinator at the Community Trust coach, said: "This latest camp has been a big success and we were delighted to welcome down Harry and Aaron, who took time out of training and preparing for the weekend's big game to meet the children.

"The youngsters got to ask lots of questions and chat with the players and now hopefully we will see many of them at Saturday's league game with Wycombe Wanderers at the LCI Rail Stadium."
