Jacob Maddox faced the press on Thursday morning ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two clash with Grimsby Town at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
The young attacker missed Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy second round win over Newport County after appearing in last weekend’s Emirates FA Cup trip to Accrington Stanley.
He could be all set to feature in Michael Duff’s squad for Saturday’s visit of the Mariners though which kicks-off at 3pm.
He told the media: “It’s going to be a tough challenge but it’s a game we think we can win. We’re going into it in good form so it’s a game we think we can win and we’re doing stuff on the training pitch day in day out to help us.
“Confidence is high at the moment. It’s kind of a shift in mentality – there’s definitely more confidence. We’re trusting each other more. We know what we can do now which is a big thing so I think we can take that into the game.”
