Great to have 'Warrior' Forster back - Boss

16 August 2018

Manager Gary Johnson admits he is delighted to have ‘Warrior defender Jordon Forster back among the ranks after his successful playing return.

The Scottish ace started the Carabao Cup game with Colchester United in midweek – 12 days short of a year since his last home appearance after a serious Achilles injury.

And Johnson was thrilled by the former Hibs man as he put in an all-action display at right back.

“He (Forster) did well and I don't think anybody has come away saying he look unfit, or injured,” said Johnson.

“We have left it as long as we could and of course we still have to look after him because it was a major injury.

“I thought he did very well and he was a good part of our success and he even scored a penalty.

“He is an experienced enough defender and person to know how his body is,” he added.

“He will talk to me today (Thursday) and we will find out what he wants to do.

“I am sure he'll tell me he's available for selection because that's the warrior that he is.”
