Star striker Eisa named Player of the Year

29 April 2018

Star striker Mo Eisa has been named the Player of the Year at Cheltenham Town.

Eisa – who has scored 22 goals in Sky Bet League Two this season to re-write the club’s record books – was handed the Bryan Jacob Cup by members of The Robins Trust prior to the Sky Bet League Two fixture with Coventry City.

Supporters and Junior Robins were invited to select the player who has impressed them the most this season and Eisa became the latest player to claim the top accolade. He follows Billy Waters who won the award last season.

Eisa was also named the Players’ Player of the Year and the Mira Player of the Year, by our club sponsors, before the game with Coventry as the 23-year-old completed a clean sweep of all the categories he was entered in.

Academy striker George Lloyd was awarded the Tim Cordell Cup for the Young Player of the Year after a season that has seen him net 41 goals in all competitions – including a first Football League goal last weekend against Cambridge United.

The Club Person of the Year award was won by Rachel Davis who volunteers at the club on matchdays and works tirelessly as mascot co-ordinator for the Robins. She was presented with her award by Chairman Paul Baker.
