Preview: Yeovil V Cheltenham

8 September 2017

Cheltenham Town make the trip to Somerset to face Yeovil Town in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

Gary Johnson’s team are hunting a return to winning ways after the narrow 1-0 defeat to Stevenage at the LCI Rail Stadium last time out.

The last time the teams met at Huish Park it was the Glovers – currently 18th in the league - who ran out 4-2 winners and Yeovil are now unbeaten in their last three meetings with the Robins.

The Opposition:

Yeovil Town have made Huish Park a fortress so far this season, with all their points coming in Somerset with victories over Accrington Stanley and Coventry City.

Manager Darren Way is looking for balance in his side’s performance as they welcome Cheltenham.

“If we get the balance right like we did against Coventry, we’ll score goals,” Way told iFollow Glovers.

“There’s no doubt of that, the players feel it every day in training – with balance the results will come.

“The club over a number of years, certainly the last four, hasn’t seen either the flow of goals or creative force going forward that we’ve got now.”

Team News:

Cheltenham team news: Jamie Grimes is available for selection after serving a one-match ban. Jordon Forster continues to be ruled out as he recovers from an operation on his Achilles.

Yeovil team news: Matt Worthington, who signed from AFC Bournemouth until January, could make his Yeovil debut.

The man in the middle:

Dean Whitestone will be refereeing at Huish Park. The Bedfordshire-born official refereed seven games last season, giving out 18 yellow cards.

He will be assisted by Kevin Morris and Craig Taylor with Marc Whaley acting as fourth official.
