Boyle - We are staying defiant and positive

15 September 2017

Defender Will Boyle insists Cheltenham are staying 'defiant and positive' ahead of the Sky Bet League Two fixture with Colchester United at the LCI Rail Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3pm)

The Robins return home after a draw with Yeovil Town and narrow loss to Newport County.

Boyle believes performances have not matched the results in recent weeks, but is ready to help change that stat as the U's come to town.

"Performances have been good but the results are eluding us at the minute," he said. "We've got to stay positive as a team and that is what we are doing, from the management down to the players.

"The mood is that we are staying defiant and positive. We've had two away performances and come away with one point out of six - we want more than that and need more than that.

"With the fans behind us and back at Whaddon Road we feel we can get three on Saturday.

"The focus is on us 100percent," he added. "The table is still taking form and you see who is at the top and who is at the bottom, but that can soon change with a run of games.

"It is about focusing on ourselves. Obviously we will look at Colchester, their strengths and weaknesses and how they are playing, but we will look to play our game and taking that to them."
