Cheltenham Town make the journey south to face Wycombe Wanderers in Sky Bet League Two this Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Cheltenham Town make the journey south to face Wycombe Wanderers in Sky Bet League Two this Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

The Robins are on a high after the 1-0 win over Lincoln City – courtesy of Danny Wright’s first half strike -  as they climbed to 14th place in the league standings.

Wycombe are one of the form teams in the division, with one defeat in six games, and the Adams Park club are in fifth spot in the division – just five points off top spot.

The Opposition:

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth is hoping his team can return to winning ways on home soil – after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Swindon Town last time out.

The Wycombe manager was quick to praise the Chairboys’ following last Saturday’s defeat, and is hoping to repay their support with a win on home turf.

“The fans were fantastic, got right behind us and kept singing, even when we were 1-0 down and I know they will be as frustrated as I am, but we won’t get many more games where it is as windy as it was then,” he said.

“It’s back to Adams Park, where we’re hoping to play some of the stuff we’ve playing lately, and Cheltenham is a game where we want to be competitive and hopefully we can get the three points.”

Team News:

Cheltenham team news: Midfielders Harry Pell, Kyle Storer and Nigel Atangana will all be hoping to be fit after missing the victory over Lincoln City. Jaanai Gordon and Jordon Forster remain long-term injury casualties.

Wycombe team news: Wycombe have no newly reported injury concerns ahead of clash, although Will de Havilland has been recalled from his loan at Aldershot. Loanee Josh Umerah remains sidelined with an ankle injury. Michael Harriman (leg) and Nathan Tyson (knee) are ruled out. No timescale has been set for the return of Scott Kashket (pelvis).

The man in the middle:

Surrey-based referee Lee Collins – who has taken charge of one game this season between Forest Green Rovers and Stevenage, where he handed out four yellow cards - will take charge of the league clash at Adams Park. He will be assisted by Thomas Ramsey, Stuart Butler and fourth official Matthew Lee.
