Boss: I'll take what I need to from defeat – Robins TV & Match Gallery

3 October 2017

Gary Johnson was unhappy with the performance of some of his players after the defeat by Forest Green Rovers in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday night.

Freddie Hinds gave the Robins the lead five minutes after the break, but two goals inside a minute ten minutes from time, handed Rovers the win on the night.

"Two or three players didn't perform on the day, and we lost the game.

"I haven't seen [Danny Wright's] sending off so when I see it may have a complaint, or I might not.

"If he's done it, he'll have to take a club fine because that would be the second time and he can't get in the habit of that.

"Freddie Hinds goal was a great strike, and we looked okay at that point.

"But they decided they weren't going to give up and their goal gave them the impotus.

"Unfortunately it was a bit of a mistake by our goalkeeper and that lead to the second goal and our defeat.

"I'll take what i need to take out this game and have it mind for the next league game (against Swindon Town on Saturday).

"A few of them will find themselves a little further away from the team than they thought they were."
