Storer: Spirits are high as we tackle soaring Magpies

17 November 2017

Captain Kyle Storer believes the spirit in the dressing room at Cheltenham is high as the Robins prepare to face the high-flying Magpies this weekend.

Storer will hope to lead out Cheltenham at Meadow Lane against Notts County as they look to become the first team to win at the ground in Sky Bet League Two this season.

"We have shown that this team has got character and we can get results," he said.

"The league is always the priority. The FA Cup is important and it was a disappointing day we suffered. But we have met about it, reviewed it and you have got to put it to one side.

"It was a very disappointing day, both personal performances and collectively as a team. But we have come back from it stronger.

"It was only a draw against Luton, but we fought back with no time left.

"We have spirit in abundance here. The last couple of league games we have shown that.

"Against Wycombe we came back from 3-1 down and against Luton too.

"These are top sides we are talking about so that gives us confidence to put a win on the board.

"Notts County are top of the league for a reason," he added. "We have got to go there and put in a good performance."
