Cheltenham Town Ladies all set for 'Elle Glosico' clash

19 November 2017

This Sunday (November 19) sees Cheltenham Town Ladies FC return to the LCI Rail Stadium at Whaddon Road for the second time this season.

The match is an especially tasty one as the Ladies defend the Gloucs FA County Cup against local rivals Forest Green Rovers Ladies. Dubbed the ‘Elle Glosico’, a another big crowd is expected.

We are proud to have some of the loyalest fans in women’s senior football and our attendances are often among the highest in the Women’s Premier League. The last time we played at Whaddon Road we had the largest crowd that day in the league.

This is also a big day for our sponsors who provide essential funding for things such as kit provision, pitch hire, match official costs and transport to away games. Perhaps it should be remembered that our players pay to play and this is a particular landmark for them.

The club is indebted to the men’s club for allowing us this privilege and we hope we can do the town proud.
