We are delighted to announce that Jon Flatt has today signed on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The keeper rejoins the club on a season long loan deal from the Championship side having helped us secure the National League title in 2016, playing the last 10 games of that season.
Upon signing the contract Jon commented, "I'm absolutely delighted to be back. Everybody knows what it meant to me to be here last time and the opportunity to come back was a no brainer.
"I've had many conversations with the Gaffer, he's ambitious and it's nice to feel wanted. When i was here last time I made lots of friends and have kept in touch with them over the last year. They became friends for life and hopefully we, and the new players who have joined since then, can progress up the league together.
"The manager says he's got confidence in me and now it's up to me to do my talking on the pitch. I've had some hard times over the last year but I'm glad now that I'm here and I can't wait to show the fans what I can do.
"We've seen recently how good this club can be on a roll with the fans behind us. If we can all unite again I'm feeling very good about the season ahead."
Robins' boss Gary Johnson added, "I'm very pleased to have Flatty back. He was a great character in the group and was also a popular figure at the club. He was a big part of our promotion. He's gained more experience since then and I feel 100% confident that he's ready to perform in the league."
Pre-season kicks off tomorrow when we'll have interviews with all of the new players, including Jon, along with more stories from the training ground, keep your eyes peeled on ctfc.com!
