CTFC Legends to take on an AP McCoy XI for Charity

Raising moeny for the Injured Jockeys Fund

A team made up of Cheltenham Town legends are hosting an AP McCoy XI in a charity match at the LCI Rail Stadium in April to help raise money for the Injured Jockeys Fund.

The game is taking place on Wednesday 19th April, after a race meeting at the racecourse and will feature Cheltenham legends from the past including John Finnigan, Russ Milton, Steve Book, Neil Grayson, Grant McCann, the Duffs and many more.

Former Robins' boss John Ward is penciled in to manage the legends as they take on a team made of jockeys, captained by 20-time Champion Jockey Sir Anthony "AP" McCoy. Lots of people from the racing world will be there and there team will include local rider Sam Twiston-Davies, Paddy Brennan, David Bass and more.

The majority of the profits made will go to The Injured Jockeys Fund with a small proportion going to The British Heart Foundation, in memory of former Cheltenham Town Vice-Chairman Colin Farmer.

Tickets for the match are just £5 and are already available online - buy yours HERE, they will also be available on the turnstiles.
 
There will be live music prior to the game and local racing yards will be taking part in a penalty shoot-out. Richard Johnson, Tom Scudamore and Aiden Coleman will be supporting the evening so anyone hoping to meet them should purchase tickets right away.
