Robins agree partnership with The Energy Check

1 December 2017

Cheltenham Town is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Energy Checking Company, who have signed a deal to become the club’s Official Energy partner.

The Robins will now be working with the independent energy consultancy firm, which provides expert analysis on utility service and supply, to ensure the LCI Rail Stadium becomes an energy efficient stadium.

The new partnership will see club’s training facilities near Swindon Village re-named The Energy Check Training Ground.

The Energy Check branding will also be carried on the front of the first team’s training kit.

Paul Bence, Commercial Director at Cheltenham Town, said: "I would like to officially welcome The Energy Check as a major sponsor of the club and we look forward to a long and successful partnership together.

“This exciting new deal will help the club achieve its goal of becoming more energy efficient, as we look to deliver energy reductions through efficiency measures at both our stadium and training facility. Crucially lowering our overhead costs in the process.

“We will also be working with The Energy Check to extend their service offer to the local business community and our loyal fanbase.”

Robyn Smith, Corporate Partnership Manager at The Energy Check, said: “We’ve been working in the background on this partnership for a number of months and I’m delighted that we’ve finally got it over the line. By partnering with Cheltenham Town as their Training Ground Sponsor we are committed to supporting the Club in pushing up the league and finishing strong in the second half of the season.

“We want to use this opportunity and association with the Club to also benefit the Town and its local community. We are dedicated to saving money on energy costs, reducing energy consumption and minimising carbon footprints.

“We have targeted to achieve £500,000 of energy cost savings for the 500,000kWh of Gas/Electricity and 176,000kg/CO2 the club, fans, local businesses and local residential customers use and if anybody would like to get involved please visit us at www.theenergycheck.co.uk or drop me an e-mail at robyn.smith@theenergycheck.co.uk.

“I’ll be providing updates on our progress via the club’s website regularly so stay tuned and of course, please help us by getting involved!”
