Robins spread festive cheer during Gloucestershire Royal Hospital visit

22 December 2017

Cheltenham Town’s players spread some festive cheer on their annual visit to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital this week.

The Robins took time out of preparations for the away trip to Barnet this weekend to visit youngsters at the Children’s Centre on Thursday afternoon, keeping up a yearly tradition.

Jamie Grimes, Carl Winchester, Brian Graham, Danny Wright, Kevin Dawson, Jordan Cranston, Jordon Forster, Aaron Downes and Matt Bowee were among those to hand out presents and signed Christmas cards to the kids, some of whom will be spending the festive period in hospital.

Aaron Downes said: “It’s not nice to see the children in hospital at this time of year, but we feel it’s important as a squad to go visit them and try and put a smile of their face and let them know we are thinking about them.

“It’s also great to see meet the fantastic staff who do such an amazing job all year round in the Children’s Centre and pass on our best wishes at Christmas.”
