West Ham United: Tonight's souvenir programme – it's Hammer time!

21 August 2017

Stop – it's Hammer time!

Remember tonight to pick up your special West Ham United souvenir edition of The Robin, on sale in all four corners of the LCI Rail Stadium.

West Ham’s reigning player of the year and the young Hammer who became a Robins legend have both given interviews to The Robin ahead of Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup clash.

Michail Antonio made his comeback from a hamstring injury during Saturday’s Premier League defeat at Southampton and is eager for a return to Whaddon Road.

The fleet-footed winger made his first ever professional start during a loan spell with Cheltenham back in 2009 and went on to make nine appearances in a red and white shirt.

Since then he has risen up the Leagues and even forced himself into contention for a place in the England squad.

Speaking to the Robin, Antonio looked back on a Robins debut at Leeds United and on his loan spell under Martin Allen, while also looking ahead to his hopes for what could be a big season.

The Robin also features the first ever winner of the Young Hammer of the Year award – a player who went on to be one of Cheltenham Town’s greatest ever players.

As part of our 20 Years On series profiling the events and characters of the 1997/8 FA Trophy-winning season, the spotlight is thrown on Jamie Victory.

A junior at the renowned West Ham academy, Victory went on to make 473 appearances for the Robins, playing in four different divisions in an outstanding 12 year career with the club.

He speaks about his West Ham upbringing and the events of that memorable season 20 years ago, including the last-minute winner that caused a riot!

There is also the latest from the Cheltenham Town Ladies, Academy, Community Trust and Robins Trust as well as the views of the manager, chairman and captain.

The Robin will be available from the usual vendors outside the ground and in the club shop, still at the price of £3.
