The transfer window may now be firmly shut but we’re delighted to reveal the latest member of the Cheltenham Town team.
Meet Ben Mottram, our new Media and Communications Manager who has just completed his first week with us, announcing five signings already!
Ben arrives at the LCI Rail Stadium with a wealth of experience in the media and commercial world.
He previously worked as a regional newspaper editor and football writer at the Sunday Mercury in Birmingham covering the likes of Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion.
The experienced communications professional went on to spend a decade in top-flight professional rugby, working in similar roles at Cardiff Blues and Worcester Warriors.
But now he’s decided to return to football and has accepted the new challenge at Whaddon Road.
“I’m thrilled Ben has joined us,” said Murry Toms, Fan Elected Director.
“To welcome someone of his calibre to the club is great news.
“Ben’s worked at the top level in sport so he arrives with plenty of experience and that’s going to be so important for the rest of the team, on and off the pitch.
“There are so many great things happening at Cheltenham Town and Ben is going to play a big part in telling our story.”
