Club Legend Pete Greenwood Passes Away

4 April 2017

"A True Gentleman"

The club is extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Pete Greenwood.

Many of you will remember Pete as our "Superman" ball boy of many years. Pete's incredible record of rescuing balls that had been lost out of the stadium was the stuff of folk law. Pete also did a lot for charity and was an incredibly popular figure at every home game.

Away from our club, Pete was also a very popular local referee, known and revered by hundreds of players across the county.

Chairman Paul Baker has said, "It's very sad news. Pete was a true gentleman, friend of the club and will always be remembered as a Cheltenham Town legend."

Our thoughts are with Pete's family at this time.
