£12 For the Twelfth Man

24 April 2017

Make as Much Noise as you can and be our 12th man

Cheltenham Town would be nothing without our amazing supporters.

As our ’12th man' you’ve always stuck by the club, management and the players through thick and thin and it has been no different this season.

So to say ‘thank you’ the club is reducing prices for Saturday’s crunch match against Hartlepool United to just £12 for all home areas.

Twelve pounds for our 12th man.

We want to pack the LCI Rail Stadium this Saturday to create a big match atmosphere and get behind the team for one final push to safety.

With a four-point gap to Saturday’s opponents and two games to play it’s vital that we get the result we need to reach safety.

All week in the build-up we’ll be celebrating you, our fantastic fans, and the crucial role you play in what we do each season.

We’ll be asking you to share your stories and pictures on social media and feature the best in our matchday programme which will feature our supporters - who else - on the front cover.

There's also 12 signed matchday programmes up for grabs for the ones we feature on Saturday, and the players will be booting 12 signed footballs into the crowd before the game so get there early!

On the day there will be a chance to see Cheltenham Town Ladies parading the GFA County Womens Trophy, which they won earlier in the month against St Nicholas Reserves at Almondsbury.

We’ll also be presenting the end of season awards, including the supporters’ player of the year, which you’ve been voting for in recent weeks.

And the ‘Norwegian Robins’ supporters branch will be joining us, flying in from Oslo – as is now customary on the last home game of the season – to bring their unique brand of Nordic support.

“You really could not have written a more dramatic script with both teams fighting to avoid the remaining relegation place with Newport County,” said Chairman Paul Baker.

“It’s the culmination of a tough, roller coaster of a season and it won't be a match for the faint hearted that's for sure.

“One thing is also for certain – our fans really can make a massive difference. If you support Cheltenham Town this really is a match you must not and cannot miss.

“We hope our fantastic price offer of £12 will  persuade thousands to come along to witness this epic battle, to cheer and encourage our players to a crucial victory.

"That would set us up for an enjoyable summer, speed up Gary's recovery and enable him to build his squad for a real push up the Football League next season.

“Together we can do this, so see you on Saturday!”

Murry Toms, fan-elected director, said: “This is a fantastic gesture by the board to reduce prices so it’s important we all play our part in promoting it to get a big crowd at the LCI Rail Stadium on the day.

“It’s a crucial game so we need to pull together and respond positively to this new initiative by the club to drop the cost of admission.”

So help us get a big crowd in to get behind Russ and the players.

Share the message, spread the word and tell your friends and family - let’s make sure that everyone who follows the Robins gets the message that this Saturday it’s £12 for our twelfth man.
