The Colin Farmer Stand

27 September 2016

A fitting tribute to a great man

Ahead of tonight's game with Stevenage at the LCI Rail Stadium, many of you will notice the new name for the stand opposite the tunnel - The Colin Farmer Stand.

Last month, Colin Farmer, the club's Vice Chairman sadly passed away and since then the club has been discussing ways to honour Colin, who did so much for the club we all love.

This summer, a raffle was held for naming right of the Wymans Road Stand and long-standing supporter Rory Woolridge was the winner. Upon hearing the devastating news of Colin's death he contacted the club to put in motion the re-naming of the stand.

Everybody involved in the club would like to thank Rory for his incredibly generous gesture as we unveil "The Colin Farmer Stand" tonight.

We will have an interview with Chairman Paul Baker on Robins TV later this evening as he reacts to seeing the new name on a match day for the first time.
