Road to Wembley
Cheltenham Town will play Crewe Alexandra at home in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.The tie will be played over the weekend of the 5th November, we will make a statement later in the week with full details of the match.
The Robins hosted Crewe in the league back in August, with Rob Dickie and James Dayton scoring to give Cheltenham a 2-0 win at the LCI Rail Stadium.
Gaffer Gary Johnson has commented, " The first thing in the cup is to get a home tie and we've done that. The win over them was important earlier in the season as it was our first league win. We've improved since then and they have too so it will be a good tie."
He also said, " Hopefully this tie will have whet fans' appetite and they'll come along to cheer on the boys. It's going to be a big game for us!"
