Cheltenham Animal Shelter

The club are pleased to announce our association and support for local charity Animal Shelter. Animal Shelter, based in Cheltenham, rescue and re-home unwanted and abandoned stray cats, dogs and other small animals from across Gloucestershire. The club and Animal Shelter would like to thank supporters for giving very generously towards a collection held on the 17th September during our fixture against Notts County.

Peter Newcombe, General Manager, said “Cheltenham Animal Shelter are proud to have their name associated with The Robins, another Cheltenham institution with a long history. With over 100 cats, dogs and small animals looking for homes promoting our message of “adopt don’t shop” is vital”

“As a charity we need to be very careful with how we spend on advertising and promotion, so thanks to John Finnigan and the team for helping make this an option. The chance to tell thousands at each game that we are here and have their new pet waiting for them was too good to miss, and the invitation to hold a matchday collection was an unexpected bonus! Hopefully this is the start of a long association with the club.”
