Today we’re launching a final push on our scoreboard Crowdfunder, releasing loads of new rewards in an effort to upgrade the screen we’ve already been able to purchase.

In truth we were all taken a little bit by surprise when we hit our total so quickly and we’ve spent the last few days thinking about our next move.

This lunchtime our funding total stood at a whopping £59,023 – £3,523 over our original target and with 10 days still to go.

On Tuesday night supporters at the Colchester United game were able to see the type of screen we will be installing for themselves.

Our original plan was ambitious and we had hoped to raise the money to purchase a 4,480 x 2,560mm scoreboard (or 12 square metres, made up of 4 x 3 320mm tiles).

Following our visit by ADI.TV on Tuesday for the Colchester United game we have decided to launch a final push to improve the size of the screen.

We have identified a bigger version that is 14.74 square metres in size and costs £43,412.61 in total (the original one cost £37,000 with full details available on our Crowdfunder page).

That amounts to a further £6,412.61 of further funding of which we have already raised £3,523 on top of our initial target.

To achieve this we have pulled together a load of great new rewards.

There are two exclusive training sessions with skipper Aaron Downes (for both kids and adults), 10 places in official team photo up for grabs, a money-can’t-buy racing day, brilliant golf offers and a chance to grab a match shirt if you missed out last week.

It’s also a final opportunity for fans to join our Wall of Fame and have their name permanently on the back of The Colin Farmer Stand.

You may remember that Grant McCann challenged supporters to get involved for a chance of winning his 2006 match-worn shirt and match ball.

Now we’re offering you the chance for one Wall of Famer to have a squad number next season, appearing on the back of the programme next season with the rest of the players and receiving a signed shirt with your name and number on the back.

If we can hit 350 Wall of Famers by December 5, when the campaign ends, we'll give it away to one lucky supporter (our 281 current backers are already in the hat).

All Wall of Famers are also in the draw for a pair of 2017-18 season tickets, so it’s the perfect way to support the campaign.
