The draw and fixture dates for the EFL Trophy!
Cheltenham Town have been drawn in Group A of the Northern section of this year's EFL Trophy alongside Everton, Bolton and Blackpool.The fixtures are as follows:
Blackpool (A) on w/c 29th August.
Everton (H) on w/c 3rd October.
Bolton (H) on w/c 7th November.
Blackpool will be playing in League Two with us this season after being relegated from the third tier of English football last year, and are managed by former Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer.
Everton are one of the 16 teams from the Premier League and Championship who have entered an academy team into the new format of the English Football League Trophy.
Our last final group stage opponents, Bolton Wanderers, will be competing in League One in the coming season after they were relegated from the Championship after a poor 2015/16 campaign and are managed by Phil Parkinson after he left Bradford to take over at The Trotters.
