Extends his stay with the Robins
James Dayton has today signed a contract extension that will keep him with the Robins until the end of the season. The midfielder signed for Cheltenham back in October and has made 11 appearances for Gary Johnson's side.
Cheltenham boss Johnson commented, " I'm really pleased that James has signed for the rest of the season with a view to extend in the summer. Experienced players like Dayton don't come around every day.
"He was unlucky with his hamstring injury when getting to full fitness last month but players like him will be invaluable for the remainder of this season."
Having extended his contract today, Dayton is now eligible and in line to feature in tomorrow's FA Trophy replay against Oxford City at the World of Smile Stadium.
