An incredible effort
Our Crowdfunder came to a quiet close this morning after an extraordinary month for the campaign.
Nobody quite knew how it would turn out when we launched it on Monday 7 November but local businesses, supporters and former players came together in fine style to do something very special for the club.
It will be remembered for a long time to come.
In the end we raised a whopping £62,573 in 28 days – an extra £7,073 more than we had originally aimed for (112.7% of our target).
We hit our initial target of £55,500 after 10 days, ‘stretching’ it to £65,000 for the remainder of the time.
Our best day was on Wednesday 9 November, when a staggering £16,210 was added to the total.
The average pledge was £98, thanks to a highest pledge of £12,500 from a very generous anonymous supporter.
There were 325 Wall of Famers, 25,696 visitors and almost 1.5million impressions on Twitter over the month.
You can see the story as it unfolded on the Updates section of our Crowdfunder page.
Now the hard work begins of sending out rewards for our supporters so please bear with us while we work through it all. There’s a lot to do!
Please be aware that pledges will start to process within 24 hours, but it can be immediate so keep an eye out for payments.
If for whatever reason there is a problem and it doesn’t go through first time you will be sent an email asking you to try again. Once it’s complete, we will send your reward to you (if applicable).
We will also be in touch with ADI and the relevant people to arrange the work in the stadium. We will continue to post regular updates here on the club website and on social media so keep your eyes peeled.
If you have any questions please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get back to you.
Thanks for your amazing support,
