Cheltenham Town sign winger James Dayton

19 October 2015

Dayton joins on a free transfer

Cheltenham Town have today confirmed the signing of midfielder James Dayton on an initial three month contract.

Dayton, who normally plays on the wing, had been out of contract since leaving Oldham in the summer.

Having graduated through the Crystal Palace academy, James has gone on to play with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier Division before moving to Oldham.

During his time with the Latics, he played under Lee Johnson, son of Robins boss Gary, having also played alongside him in Scotland.

James could make his Cheltenham debut this Saturday when we travel to Havant & Waterlooville in the FA Cup 4th Round Qualifying.

Check out ctfc.com tomorrow where we will have James' first interview as a Robin and get reaction from Gary Johnson.
