7 reasons to support the Robins this October!

6 October 2015

Robins Skipper wants your support!

Attendances for a club like ours are vital for future investment, and we need your help to bump them up and give us the best possible chance to gain promotion at the end of the season. Starting with tonight at home to Braintree, bring your friends along and help to create a brilliant atmosphere to give us the best possible chance of getting the win!

After the lads gave you 7 reasons to cheer on Saturday, I thought I'd give 7 reasons for you and your friends to get behind us for the rest of October, (with a little bit of help from Harry Pell)!

1) Top of the league

If things go well this month then we could be top of the league and in prime position for promotion by the end of it. With Forest Green not playing until tomorrow, a win tonight will put us in first place so make sure you come down to the World of Smile Stadium tonight and cheer us into top spot!

2) Away days

This month has already seen one incredible away day, our 7-1 win at Halifax, but that is just the start hopefully, as we have three more away days for you to enjoy. Saturday's trip to Gateshead will be a long one, but if we can perform like we did at Halifax then those who make this trip with us will have a day to remember! There aren't many things more satisfying for a player then knowing you've given your fans an enjoyable trip home!
We also travel to Bromley next week, which should be a cracker of a game after their recent good form. Finally, at the end of the month we head to Grimsby on a Friday night which will be extra special.....

3) We have a TV game:

If you are unable to make the Grimsby game then don't panic, you can see us live on BT Sport on Friday 30th!

4) Attractive players (written by Harry Pell, not me!):

Part of boosting attendances is getting more female fans in and thankfully we have the attractive players to help!  I've got to be up their as one of them haven't I! Rowey isn't too bad, Munnsy as well if he's had a haircut. Apparently their have been some comments about Billy but I don't see it. Downesy is also good for the older ladies with his silver fox look. We make up for some of the others, so keep your eyes off the left back and keep them on us!

5) Goals:

It's obvious that fans enjoy games more when they see us score, and so far the lads have done a pretty good job of doing so! After Saturday we are the League's top scorers and have only failed to score twice all season!

6) The Cup!

October will hopefully see us reach the first round of the FA Cup proper with a win in the final qualifying round. If we go on a cup run like the club have done so often in recent years, make sure you're able to say you were there for every round!

7) Gary Johnson

It's great for the club to have such an experienced manager who knows exactly what is required to take us up this season. From a fans perspective it's great to have a manager with such a great character and is funny. His interviews always have a good quote or two so make sure you tune in to our YouTube account!

From me and the rest of the squad, thank you so much for your support so far this season, it has been fantastic! With your help, we can bring in some more fans so they can experience it too and together we can all, as a club, earn the promotion we are after.
