Robins turn down Derby's bid
Cheltenham Town have today rejected an offer from Championship side Derby County for youngster Luke Thomas.Chairman Paul Baker commented, " The offer was considered at Board Level but was rejected due to it not reaching our valuation of the player".
16-year-old Luke has been on the bench several times for the first team so far this season and is one of several bright sparks in the club's academy.
" The interest in our young players shows the importance to the club of its Academy and the excellent job that the Academy staff do both in terms of recruitment and improvement of young local footballers." Added Baker.
