Billy Waters, "Time to push on"

Striker pleased to break 'drought'

Cheltenham Town striker Billy Waters spoke to the press after his two goals helped the Robins secure a 5-0 win over Guiseley to send them top of the National League.

Read Billy's top quotes here:

Billy Waters on his first goal:
“Munnsy after training today said to me stand in between the left back and the left centre-half and he said I’ll find you there. As soon as he got the ball I thought go on then and then he did it and it turned out to be a goal. The keeper came out I got a touch and headed it in. That one sort of makes up for the one I missed at Hartlepool. I was delighted to get the header”

On his second goal:
“It was great pressing from Barthram when he came on to win the ball high up the pitch and I knew I was in, and it was just about staying composed and putting it in”

On his assist to Jack Munns:
“Well I don’t think he wouldn’t speak to me again if I didn’t (pass it to him). I thought if I square it, it’s a guaranteed goal”

On scoring:
“I’ve been on a bit of a goal drought recently so it was brilliant to get two”

On the game against Southport on Saturday:
“We’ve just got to push on from here and get the result on Saturday. It’s definitely a winnable game”
