Groundsman to leave Cheltenham Town for new role at Forest Green Rovers

24 June 2015

Cheltenham Town's deputy head groundsman Matt Rainey will leave the club to take up the role of head groundsman at Forest Green Rovers next Tuesday.

Rainey, who worked with head groundsman Terry Roberts at Cheltenham and also acted as Seasons facilities manager, returns to the club he left five years ago.

He was the first groundsman at The New Lawn after he had joined in Rovers' final season at The Lawn in 2005.

We would like to thank Matt for his work at Cheltenham Town and wish him every success back at our Gloucestershire neighbours and fellow Vanarama National League club.
